He even provided a brief summary of reports on blood transfusions presented at the first postwar international congress of surgeons held in 1920 in Paris. He also described the efforts of Odessa surgeons and researchers—endorsed by the Odessa Medical Society—in developing reliable transfusion techniques.

In 1902, in an influential monthly, Education, Bogdanov published an abridged but updated version of his “synthesis” of Marxism and Darwinism under the title “The Development of Life in Nature and Society” (Bogdanov 1902). During the next two years, in the leading Russian philosophical journal of the time, Questions of Philosophy and Psychology, Bogdanov published a series of articles expanding and updating his “monistic” views on psychology, interrelations of psychic and biological evolution, and “ideals of cognition” (Bogdanov 1903a, 1903b, 1904b).
